Digital Image to Slide Film Guidelines for Art Students

We have a film recorder that will take digital images and place them on slide film. Be aware of the following:

Your Responsibility:

  • Provide the film (Kodak Ektachrome, daylight, 100 ISO with the number of exposures necessary)
  • Provide properly prepared digital images (see below)
  • Pick up and process film at a photo lab of your choosing
  • Pay $12.50 for each roll of film that is exposed.

Our Responsibility:

  • Operate the Film Recorder to place provided image on provided film
  • If the guidelines below are not followed, there is a $40 per hour charge for correcting and preparing the image for the film recorder.

The Guidelines:

Images should be 12" by 8" in a horizontal orientation (landscape).

Resolution should not be over 300 dpi.

Images should be provided on a CD, Zip Disk, or jump drive.

Media and film can be left at Media Services Main Office (Kerr Hall Room 149) or the Instructional Developer's Office (Kerr Hall Room 19)

It will take a minimum of 48 hours to have the film ready for you to pick up.
